which in turn creates Zaros (a being with Shadow/Dark aligned energy) and Seren (either a byproduct of it or Mah's really deeply subconscious attempt to stop Xau-Tak).

Xau-Tak then uses the last of it's influence on what remains of Mah's intelligence to try to create something to help it's plans. Xau-Tak corrupts Mah's egg to force her to not be born "correctly".

It's also mentioned in the first part of the Battle for the Monolith that a possible in tact part of Senntisten may have been found, could they be lined somehow? Is Zaros' ultimate plan to bring Erebus into Gielinor using the Codex? Could this be the shadow breach mentioned in one of Guthix's memories?

It would also explain why those attuned to the magic do not know where exactly the souls go after death, if the area is full of shadow magic/potentially anathema, perhaps they cannot sense where exactly they have gone to. It could also be used as a potential weapon against the elder gods if the shadows there are do dense that they become some sort of naturally occurring anathema. My thoughts are that it's one of the deepest parts of the shadow realm where the likes of the Shadow Leviathans reside, and could it be possibly where the EGWD, or part of it could take place. So my question is, what exactly is Erebus? The Zarosians I'm assuming by their delving into the shadow realm and via Zaros himself. Raksha via the Monolith I'm guessing, being the instrument that turned him into the "Shadow Colossus"

How would Raksha and the Zarosians both know about Erebus if they've never met each other? The reward at the end of the quest is the Shard of Erebus (which is going to be similar to the Shard of Mah or Shard of Zaros in terms of its effect I believe)Įrebus is also described very briefly as what the Zarosians call the afterlife if you ask him about it during Azzanadra's Quest. I've noticed there've only been a couple of references so far to Erebus that I've come across, one being Raksha mentioning it during one of his special attacks, and the other being mentioned in the Battle for the Monolith.
